New Year Fox Festival
This is the first of the Trilogy, three big shows they do over the course of 2015. I love the Trilogy -- the set design is really good, everyone is so high energy, and we're starting to get songs from the (eventually) upcoming second album, which is my favourite.
Because I am committed to this project, and also because there is something seriously wrong with me, I watched two versions of this -- the original, and the remastered version from the Trilogy boxset, which has some different camera angles. Most of my notes (and gifs) come from the first version -- the main difference I noted was the first one had a lot of great close up shots of both the girls and the Kamis, whereas the second had more mid and long shots, with less focus on the Kamis. There's surely something more productive I could do with my one precious life, but I choose to do this.

Thoughts During
- They're coming out of the Budokan coffins!!!
- They're pointing like they did with the lightsabers on Black Night as well, but this time, instead of the stairs lighting up, there is a traditional style bridge being lowered from the ceiling! This is not the last time ceilings will come into play in the trilogy, so that's something we can all be excited for
- They're also wearing kimono and fox masks, which is a great visual

- They're crossing the bridge!! The first time I watched this I was so excited when I realised the bridge was an actual part of the stage -- it takes them out onto the second centre stage, and is raised and lowered as needed throughout the show
- Iine! I love Iine
- That was a big jump, Moa!

- They're doing the rap bit! They never do the rap bit!! Exciting!
- That was a big jump, Yui!

- HELL YEAH NEW SONG BEST CHOREO

- It's the debut of Awadama Fever, one of my favourite songs! I love the choreography for it so much, it's so fun
- I really like the three screens when they each focus on a different girl

- I also love the single high spotlight on Su in Akatsuki, lighting her like an anime moonbeam
- Moa and Yui came in over the little bridges during Catch Me If You Can. I love the little bridges!
- Leda's guitar solo is very cool
- In 4 no Uta not only do Moa and Yui do crowd interactions, they also go across all three bridges to speak to different parts of the crowd!

- ...Look, I don't want to keep going on about the bridges, but the Kamis get to each come out on a bridge for Mischief of the Metal Gods and I would be remiss not to mention that
- Speaking of the Kamis -- I have just now spotted that Takayoshi, my beloved, is wearing very glittery cowboy boots and I love them
- Last bridge mention, I promise -- during Rondo of Nightmare Su strides across the centre bridge while it's being raised! It looks very cool, and I was (mostly) not worried about her falling because of the railings
- Rare Moa and Yui crowd interaction during Headbanger!!!! Not only that, but the fire extinguishers are back!

- It's always very cute when Su thanks the crowd for singing
- The "WALL OF DEATH WALL OF DEATH" chants at the beginning of Ijime Dame Zettai are fun as always, and those are some big walls of death
- Plus some big jumps from the crowd
- During the IDZ fight, Yui jumps fully over Moa!!!

- For the encore, they come up from under the stage and they come up very fast. This is always funny to me — I like it when they boing out
- There are storm noises at the beginning of Road of Resistance, which is a nice touch
- I lied, I'm bringing up the bridges again. They march up the centre bridge, Moa and Yui with their flags! Moa and Yui even both conduct their own individual circle pits with their flags!

Thoughts After
I REALLY LOVE THE BRIDGES.
Look, I always love the more elaborate set designs, and these fucking bridges are so cool and look so good and are incorporated into the performance so well and I love them.
I also really like that they open with Megitsune and they start out wearing kimono and fox masks, which is how they were opening a lot of shows while they were touring during 2014 (especially when they were touring as support acts). They also use the English opening of IDZ.
In conclusion: Bring Back The Bridges 2025.
